This family friendly area has taken a few of our favorite adult Scottish sports and miniaturized them to kids’ sizes! We have cabers for the younger athletes to try their hand at the caber toss, as well as the stone throw and the haggis hurl. The ‘wee’ athletes will also enjoy sack races, three-legged races, egg and spoon races, and the ring fling.
Our Kids’ Glen would not be complete without the make and take crafts and inflatable rides. We also have our own Story Corner for parents and wee ones to take a breather and listen to stories, myths and legends from Scotland.
Visitors will also marvel at the Dexter cattle, the Clydesdale and the Gypsy horses! And new to the Kids’ Glen in 2008 will be herding dog demonstrations. |
